A YouTuber is already showcasing the darkest combos of the new cards. Clever interactions create plenty of action in Hearthstone.
Starting next week, on 04/06/2017 (presumably), the release of the new Hearthstone expansion “Journey to Un’Goro” will add a proud total of 135 cards to the game. YouTuber Disguised Toast was invited by Blizzard beforehand and had a chance to take a look at the various cards to experiment with the interactions between old and new cards. Many players will experience their blue wonder with this expansion.
Especially exciting is an interaction between Wild Pyromancer and Adaptation, a new spell for the Paladin. This allows a minion to gain the advantages of “Adapt.” If the selection for “poisonous” is made, the spell triggers the Pyromancer’s effect and deals 1 damage to all minions. Since it is “poisonous,” all minions die! A solid (albeit somewhat uncertain) alternative when there is no equality in hand.
Galvadon, the Paladin quest reward, has 5 times Adapt. Together with Brann Bronzebeard, this can be doubled – 10 adaptations! However, this is only possible in the “wild” game mode, as Explorer League cards are removed from the rotation.
The pirate Patches becomes really powerful through the quest reward Crystal Core. Especially when you also copy him with a three-bander. This gives you Patches with 5/5 – and opponents are quickly overwhelmed.
What other interactions exist has been presented by Disguised Toast in his video:
Do you have any new, exciting combinations in mind that could have quite devastating effects?
We have introduced all 135 new cards from “The Journey to Un’Goro” in this post.
