Cortyn chooses the five most beautiful skins from Heroes of the Storm. Do you agree or do you have other favorites?
Since the release of Heroes of the Storm, some time has passed. Many heroes have since received numerous new outfits and graphical enhancements. As is usual in MOBAs, these alternative skins are not always logically explainable and are probably due to the wild energies of the Nexus (and certainly not any company trying to make money!) What could be more fitting than to look back at the most beautiful skins?
Because “Top 5” lists have always been in vogue and we from Mein-MMO.de are of course so “hip” and “fly,” we make no exception. So here, the selection of my 5 favorite skins in Heroes of the Storm.
Rank 5: Pyjamathur
No one likes it when a Zerg takes control of the body and injects a symbiote. When the original creature is also a disgusting worm, sympathy doesn’t exactly increase. But big googly eyes and pajamas – who could be angry at that! Whenever there is a Pyjamathur on the opposing team, I really feel bad about secretly killing him while he supports some team member – he just looks too cute in his crib. Especially the different stickers on his pajamas are quite impressive – even if they are just very small details.
Rank 4: Blood Elf Tyrande
In 4th place for me is Blood Elf Tyrande. While her actual skin is not outstanding and in many respects reminds one of Sylvanas and her ranger general skin, one single detail catapults her into this list for me. The ordinary ability of the guardian owl has been replaced with a phoenix, the emblem of the blood elves. I am happy that Blizzard thinks of such details, and it was a real selling point for me – because what could be cooler than sending a nice, silvermoon-like farewell to a fleeing enemy?
Rank 3: Demonic Tyrael
According to the internet law “The purer something is, the more satisfying it is to corrupt it,” the Demonic Tyrael is in 3rd place for me. While he already looks impressive in his normal form, he is a real eye-catcher in demon form (especially in purple). Together with the new voice and spell effects, it feels much darker (and thus better) to teleport across the battlefield and still take many enemies with you after your own death.
Rank 2: Desert Queen Zagara
With the introduction of the map “The Temples of Luxoria,” Blizzard released a special skin for Zagara, my absolute favorite specialist. I can’t even rationally explain it, but it is just the whole appearance that I find incredibly appealing.
Rank 1: Succubus Kerrigan
Not particularly creative is my choice for first place. But let’s be honest, you would be quite disappointed if I hadn’t chosen Succubus Kerrigan, right? True, she has neither adjusted animations nor new voice effects, but she has different patterns for each color variant. I even imagine that some enemies like to stand still and let themselves be beaten by her when they see her …
But now let’s get to you! Which skins in Heroes of the Storm do you particularly like? Which ones do you find less successful?
