The little Murloc from HotS has to go back to the bench – nerfs limit him significantly after his rework.
The latest patch of Heroes of the Storm not only brought the new hero Lúcio into the game but also significantly overhauled the little Murloc Murky. In the latest balance update to Heroes of the Storm, the young Murloc has now been drastically nerfed again, as he turned out to be too powerful.
Murky – Nerfed across the board
Specifically, his health points have been reduced from 761 to 730, and his slime has been significantly weakened. The slow now lasts only 6 seconds (previously 8) and slows by only 20% (previously 25%).
It particularly hits one of the heroic abilities hard. The cooldown of Murloc March has been increased from 80 to 110 seconds. This talent was particularly powerful with the upgrade at level 20, where the march could be channeled indefinitely.
Besides that, other talents have been trimmed. Murky now requires more stacks to bribe mercenaries, and the healing of his rejuvenation bubble has also been reduced.
In addition, there are small buffs for Varian as well as adjustments for Tychus (shorter range, stronger self-healing) and a reduction of the root effect on Malfurion.

Cortyn says: I really liked the update of Murky, and I wondered for a while whether I was just good with the Murloc or he was too powerful – apparently the latter. I find it unfortunate that the slow is being weakened, as that was precisely his strength: slowing enemies while the rest of the team cleans up. Other adjustments, such as with the Murloc March, I find reasonable. Especially since the cooldown starts while channeling and not just when the spell is finished.
