In Heroes of the Storm, a new battleground is in the works, the Towers of Doom are opening!
Life is a Circle
After Cho’Gall, the next innovation in Heroes of the Storm is here. The new battleground “Towers of Doom” can now be played, but it has some features that players must remember if they want to succeed here.
Unlike usual, heroes cannot directly attack the enemy Nexus, as a death zone has been established around the enemy base that disposes of all enemies who approach it. Damage to the enemy Nexus can only be dealt indirectly through the various control points on the map.
A short video by the developers explains what needs to be considered in order to emerge victorious from battles on this map.
In summary, the goal is to control the towers, which introduce a whole new, chaotic element to the map. It can make sense to temporarily split into five different towers to keep the opponent busy. The major battles will likely take place at the Headless Horseman and at the altars.

I find especially interesting the new mechanics of the mercenary camps, which, unlike usual, are not used as distractions, but are effectively defended to ensure that they directly damage the next tower or even the Nexus.
Blizzard continues the tradition of breaking the rules with the Towers of Doom, offering a fresh alternative to the otherwise somewhat stale MOBA game modes of other genre representatives. However, criticism is slowly mounting that the number of maps is excessive.
What do you think? Do you like the new map or is it too crazy for you?
