In Heroes of the Storm, the new map “Infernal Shrines” is now active and can be tried out – however, a few other maps have been locked.
The hell is loose in the shrines
The last major patch of Heroes of the Storm brought not only the new hero Kharazim, but also a completely new battlefield. From now on, the Infernal Shrines can be raided by all players. Like all maps in Hots, the new addition also has its own objectives: Both teams can capture up to three shrines. If successful, a mighty demon will be summoned, advancing on the nearest path. The special feature: This time, the creatures also attack heroes and have more complex attack patterns.
To allow players to enjoy the new battlefield more often, the available map pool in the Nexus has been reduced from 9 to 6 for one week. The following three maps are currently not in the rotation:
- Blackheart’s Bay
- Ghost Mines
- Garden of Terror
Of course, the maps are not removed from the game; they will just be unavailable until September 2. Anyone who wants can still select all maps in “Custom Games” mode.
