In Blizzard’s MOBA Heroes of the Storm, your heroes are currently celebrating the Moon Festival for the Year of the Rooster. As always, there are new costumes, portraits, and a special daily quest related to the Moon Festival Rooster.
At Blizzard, they love Chinese New Year, and with the onset of the Year of the Rooster, there are new skins and quests to complete in the MOBA Heroes of the Storm, alongside the events in Overwatch. Thanks to the quests, you can earn a lot of gold if you diligently play HotS.
The Monkey King and the Rooster
This year, the new skins are for the Orc Swordmaster Samuro as well as the inherently Asian-themed Sorceress Li-Ming. While the sorceress gets a stylish red dress, the Orc receives a complete overhaul. Instead of a green-skinned character, the new Samuro arrives as a mystical Monkey King, a tribute to the character “Sun Wukong” from the classic Chinese novel epic “Journey to the West”.
The event gives you the opportunity to earn 200 additional gold coins every day if you complete the daily quest “Rooster Race”. To do this, you just need to find items in the game and bring them to the Moon Festival Rooster in the starting area. If you complete this fun task 25 times, you will receive a special rooster portrait and a rooster as a mount. Additionally, there are a cloud and a dragon mount available through the complete festival packages. The Moon Festival and all its offers end on February 14.
