Since last night, the latest patch for Heroes of the Storm is available. It brought not only Lt. Morales but also adjustments to the Infernal Shrines.
Name the type of medical emergency
The maintenance work today delivered the latest patch for Heroes of the Storm. In addition to the Medic Lt. Morales, many new skins and mounts are waiting for the players. Furthermore, balancing adjustments have been made to many warriors and supporters, so especially Tyrande and Tassadar can now achieve better results and a noticeably higher defensive performance. Early deaths should also be avoided, as the respawn times on the lower game levels have been increased.
The Infernal Shrines are more forgiving
A number of changes have been made to the map Infernal Shrines, as it was particularly difficult for teams to recover from small setbacks. It is still possible to summon Punishers through the eponymous shrines, but the number of Skeletons to be destroyed has been increased from 30 to 40. However, that’s not all: the small skeletal minions no longer suffer increased damage from abilities that deal increased damage to minions. This means that especially heroes like Leoric will take longer to activate a shrine solo.
Also, the Punishers themselves will be weakened: They have 10% fewer HP by default and scale less with increasing level by the same amount. Additionally, they will no longer randomly jump to opposing heroes but only to the nearest one. This allows for more tactics and counterplay options and should take some of the fear away from the Punishers.
The undisputed best change is the introduction of visible load bars for all players: Now everyone can easily find out who is still operating their computer with charcoal or has deprived their hamster of its lunch.
