The Warrior Muradin

Muradin Bronzebeard is a hero of the Alliance and one of the most famous and feared dwarf warriors of Azeroth. He trained the young Arthas Menethil and ultimately became the first victim of the runeblade Frostmourne – or so it was thought until he reappeared in “Wrath of the Lich King” as the King of the Frostborn. Today, he leads the Bronzebeard clan and represents them at the Council of Three Hammers.
He takes on the role of a warrior, meaning: He absorbs damage and ensures that the softer team members are protected. Like a true man, he shuns no fight and is always found on the front lines. And even if he gets injured – after a short breather, he charges forward again.
Muradin’s Abilities at a Glance
- Endurance – Muradin automatically regenerates his lost health points when he is not in combat.
- Stormstrike – Throws a hammer in a straight line. Deals medium damage and stuns the first target hit for 1.5 seconds.
- Thunderstrike – Deals low damage in a small circle around the hero and slows hit targets by 25% for 2 seconds.
- Leap – Jumps to a target location and deals low damage upon landing.
- Avatar – Muradin transforms into an avatar for 20 seconds. He receives a high amount of additional health points and his basic attacks briefly stun hit enemies.
Recommended Talents for Muradin in Heroes of the Storm
Almost all selected talents ensure that Muradin becomes more resilient. You won’t deal much damage with him, but in return, enemies will have a tough time dealing with you. The selection of talents also ensures that enemies hit slower. Since the dwarf is always in the midst of battle, it’s logical for his basic attacks to reduce the cooldowns of his abilities – you will spend most of the time attacking someone anyway. Avatar provides the extra punch and will particularly ruin the day for enemy spellcasters.
Muradin’s Primary Playstyle – Always Charge!
If you pay a bit attention to your mana, you can stay on a lane with Muradin almost indefinitely. As soon as he has not taken damage for 4 seconds, he begins to regenerate all lost health points, and that particularly fast. Retreat after short skirmishes and be ready for action again within seconds! With Thunderstrike, you can damage entire waves of enemies, and with Stormstrike, you can get into battle quickly – or just as quickly out. Muradin is incredibly good at simply riding out problems, as his health regeneration will drive enemies mad sooner or later.
Normally, you can afford to play a bit aggressively. With Leap, Stormstrike, and Thunderstrike, you can safely escape from fights. Even if Muradin’s damage dealt is low, enemies cannot constantly heal themselves and will sooner or later have to retreat.
Tips for Muradin
Use Leap to surprise the opponent! You can jump over walls and barriers, thus disappearing from a fight in a flash or launching an ambush.
