Blizzard’s MOBA Heroes of the Storm (PC) is getting a new hero again. This time it’s StarCraft’s turn. The new hero is Fenix, a powerful Dragoon of the Protoss.
Heroes of the Storm regularly brings heroes from all Blizzard universes into the game. This includes not only Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and Diablo but also the StarCraft world. After the last StarCraft hero Blaze, another character from this franchise joins the game.
Fenix the Protoss Dragoon
The new hero in Heroes of the Storm will be Fenix. Fenix was already part of the first StarCraft and could initially be played as a Protoss Berserker. He was a brave and dedicated fighter who ultimately was torn apart by the Zerg in a heroic battle.
However, the nasty aliens left enough of him to give Fenix a second chance. For mortally wounded Protoss can be encased in powerful robotic shells, known as Dragoons. Through the systems of the Dragoons, they are kept alive and can continue to fight for their people.
Will Fenix be a Tank, Assassin, or Specialist?
Dragoons are high-quality combat machines in StarCraft that quickly zip across the battlefield, providing valuable fire support from a distance with their plasma blasters. In this regard, Fenix would be a good assassin, picking off enemies from afar.
But Fenix is known in StarCraft for never giving up and continuing even after his “death”. This points more towards a sturdy tank who can take a lot of damage and even resurrect.
Lastly, a hybrid class or specialist could also be possible, having some strange and bizarre skills and falling somewhere in between class archetypes.
