Just in time for the start of gamescom, Blizzard releases an interesting project: a short animated film about Heroes of the Storm. In the style of a 90s cartoon, the game studio simultaneously announces the new hero: Kel’Thuzad!
After the data for the hero was already found in the first days of the alpha, it went quiet about the Lord of Naxxramas. With the appearance of Jaina, who received many of the abilities originally associated with Kel’Thuzad, the idea of the Lich seemed repurposed.
New Hero and New Skins: Kel’Thuzad and Minions
Most players – myself included – no longer expected KT to make it into the game as a character. Accordingly, this trailer inspires excitement for what is yet to come and shows that Heroes is more than just Blizzard’s unwanted stepchild!
Kel’Thuzad’s spotlight video will be presented live on Wednesday at gamescom. All his abilities will be on display.
In addition to the Lich, three skins have also been announced to be released alongside the patch “Call of Kel’Thuzad“: Cryptqueen Zagara, Deathknight Sonya, and Dreadlord Jaina – already stylized in the film.

Additionally, you can still snag a legendary loot box through Twitch Prime until October 10!
