The newest hero from Heroes of the Storm was too weak. Medivh is getting buffed, but the Skeleton King Leoric is also being strengthened.
More damage so Medivh can survive on his own
After several weeks of testing, it is now clear: Medivh, the newest hero from Heroes of the Storm, is a bit too weak. The great strength of the last guardian of Tirisfal lies in his numerous support abilities, which all come with a “problem” – Medivh is only strong when the team also pays attention to using his abilities.
In order for the most powerful wizard of all time to survive a bit longer on his own in the future, the following adjustments have been made:
- The damage of automated attacks has been increased from 65 to 80. The attack speed increases from 1.0 attacks per second to 1.11.
- In Raven Form, Medivh now moves 20% faster (previously: 15%)
- The mana cost of Arcane Rift has decreased from 60 to 50, the base damage has increased from 182 to 200, and when an enemy hero is hit, 50 mana is now refunded.
- The damage bonus of the talent Arcane Charge has been increased from 25% to 30%
However, there are also a few “nerfs” for Medivh:
- The talent Mana Regeneration has been removed
- The talent Master’s Touch now only requires 30 hits (previously 35), but the bonus damage decreases from 100 to 75
- The speed bonus of the talent Soaring Winds has been reduced from 100% to 50%.
Leoric – the terror of Cho’Gall
The warrior Leoric also receives a few small buffs, which should achieve a significant effect overall.
- The damage and healing from Siphon of Despair has been increased from 20% of maximum HP to 25%. While in ghost form, Leoric heals for 12.5% of his HP.
- The talent Submissive Sacrifice further increases healing power to 25% (previously 25%), or 15% in ghost form.
Overall, this makes Leoric an even more powerful counter to heroes with many hit points, especially Cho’Gall. The duo is now practically melting away in battle against the undead warrior.
However, there is bad news for the warrior Anub’arak. He loses 100 hit points, and his health regeneration has been accordingly reduced.
