Blizzard bans a lot of indifferent players and those who intentionally allow themselves to be farmed in Heroes of the Storm (HotS) .
Mobas have the reputation of a toxic community that not only likes to throw insults in chat but also negatively impacts the gameplay. This ranges from players who are absent during a match to those who intentionally allow the opponent to kill them. The result is usually reduced fun for all participants.
In the official forum, Community Manager Spyrian has now commented on the issue and explained that there was a new wave of bans.
“Today’s sanctions were aimed at those whose data on in-game performance clearly shows that they are not participating in a large majority of matches. To determine more precisely which accounts should be temporarily or permanently banned, we also manually reviewed the data of the individual accounts and checked the mass of reports related to them. Through this three-step confirmation, we are able to regularly and confidently take action against players who intentionally degrade the gameplay experience of others. (…)”
“Being AFK, non-participation, and intentional dying are behaviors that ruin the experiences of others and undermine the sportsmanship that is important for Heroes of the Storm. Participating in such actions will not be tolerated by us.”
Great deals are currently available for Black Friday, such as a 360-day Stimpack.
