Today we present the tactic Zerg Rush in Heroes of the Storm . It is intended for 2 players.
On the channel “Heroes of the Storm Highlights,” you can always find quirky tactics and combinations that work in special moments and are sometimes funny. Episode 39, however, addresses a functional way to bring the good old Zerg Rush from Starcraft into the Nexus of HotS. Two players use good communication and a combination that has not yet been nerfed by Blizzard.
Step 1: Choosing Heroes for the Zerg Rush tactic in Heroes of the Storm
The prerequisite is that you have Abathur or Zagara and your friend has the respective counterpart. Then you can gleefully anticipate what you will do in the next match, and off you go.
Step 2: The respective talents for Abathur and Zagara
As Abathur:
Your first important decision is at level 4. There, you choose the map-wide range of mines. Accordingly, the choice falls on the talent “Ballistic Spores.” At level 10, you opt for “Ultimate Evolution.” That’s it.

As Zagara:
As Zagara, you need to pay a bit more attention to which talents you choose. At the beginning, ensure that your Shadlings take less damage from non-heroic units. The talent “Corpse Feast” should therefore be your first choice. At level 4, you choose the talent “Toxic Spikes,” which increases the damage of your basic attacks. Halfway there!
Now, your choice is either “Fury of the Storm,” which reduces your cooldowns and allows you to call your Zerg for help more often. Alternatively, you can also increase the number of Shadlings to three. For that, you choose the talent “Bile Bag.” When your team finally reaches level 10, you select the “Nydus Network.”

Step 3: Proper execution of the Zerg Rush in Heroes of the Storm
Now that preparations have been made, Abathur places a mine in the enemy base, outside the range of any towers. Zagara then summons her Nydus Worm to that exact spot and teleports there. Both players can now knowingly rub their hands together, as the fun is about to begin. Abathur clones Zagara with his “Ultimate” Evolution, and both now attack the same fort with their Zerg.
Always stay behind your units and let the tower attack them so your attack speed does not decrease, and you do not take damage. Once the first enemy heroes appear on the scene, Zagara can summon a Nydus Worm for help again or escape through the already summoned worm for safety.
You execute this tactic twice, and the enemy fort should be destroyed, which will strengthen your team on this lane with catapults.

The element of surprise lies with you on the Zerg side, which is why every opposing team will hysterically retreat to the Nexus. However, by then Zagara should take her six legs into her hands.
Of course, you’re now wondering what you can do as the affected team? The only option at the moment is probably to stay near the forts all the time and destroy the mines with area abilities. Did Blizzard intend it this way?
In any case, I’m curious what you think about this team combination. Just write it in the comments.
