A new cinematic shows the next hero for Heroes of the Storm. D.Va demonstrates once again that she is the true pro gamer!
Even though Heroes of the Storm 2.0 just went live – bringing a lot of loot boxes and new features to the game – the developers are already talking about the next hero coming to the Nexus.
In the cinematic, which is supposed to showcase both Genji and the Hanamura map, the cyborg ninja fights Diablo and gets a serious beating from him. Just when the battle seems hopeless and he is about to be crushed in the Shimada temple, the savior in need arrives: D.Va!
After StarCraft and Overwatch, D.Va now also conquers HotS
It is now official that the next heroine of Heroes of the Storm will be D.Va a.k.a. Hana Song, whom most players probably already know from Overwatch.
There are currently no specific details about D.Va’s abilities. We only know that she will enter the Nexus as a warrior – fighting at the front lines.
If Blizzard follows the previous imports from Overwatch, then D.Va will also gain similar abilities in the Nexus as in the hero shooter. This would mean she can intercept projectiles in a target area, charge through enemies, pushing them aside, and of course, destroy her mech in a spectacular and devastating explosion.
Ultimately, we have no choice but to wait until Blizzard releases an official hero preview. Since Genji was patched into the game today (April 26, 2017), it is likely to take about 3 weeks until D.Va follows her cyborg friend and players can collectively scream “Nerf this!”.
