The Twitch streamer Asmongold experienced a moment during a stream where one of his guild members saved him from a possible death in WoW-HC. Asmongold rewarded this with an immediate promotion.
- The Twitch streamer Asmongold had promised his community to play the HC mode of WoW Classic for at least some time if Blizzard announces “WoW Classic Plus”.
- Blizzard subsequently announced something similar with the “Season of Discovery”, which was enough reason for the streamer to fulfill his promise.
In his stream on November 21, one of his guild members not only astonished Asmongold himself but also his community. A player named Aticis managed to save Asmongold and the other guild players with a clever action.

How did the player save the streamer? In his stream on Twitch on November 21, Asmongold played World of Warcraft in HC mode along with members of his guild. The streamer noticed a hostile player who had “flagged” himself to provoke Asmongold and the other members into attacking him.
By this term, it means that players mark themselves as ready for PvP
and thus become attackable by the other faction. If you attack such a player, you also flag
yourself for PvP and can be attacked and killed. In this case, the rogue of much higher level would have simply kicked the streamer out of life. In WoW Hardcore, this means the definitive end of the character.
Asmongold commented on this:
It is obvious that this random person is flagged here and I think they are trying to get us to flag ourselves so they can kill us. Because [the members of this group] are level 60 […] and I just don’t want to waste the time.

The player “Aticis” apparently took this as an opportunity for an unexpected action. As Asmongold explained to his viewers on Twitch what tactic the opponent was currently using, Aticis went for it and took the player out.
This means: the player who wanted to set a trap lost his character. Asmongold burst into laughter and said: “Brother, I promote him right away.”
“No way. No way, he just took him out,” Asmongold then expressed what certainly many were thinking at that moment as “Aticis” simply took out the opponent at level 41.

“What a legend”
This is how the community reacts: The clip uploaded on November 22 to the YouTube channel “Asmongold Clips” currently has over 550 comments. Here opinions are divided.
While one side seems impressed, the other side seems skeptical, as in their eyes it could simply be a viewer of the streams:

- “nakano15” notes: “Maybe this player was previously fleeing from an enemy and managed to escape him, then boarded the boat without realizing that it was flagged for PvP. Thought he was safe and went afk.”

Here, Asmongold promoted a member of his guild, but previously he had also thrown someone out. The streamer had to watch as one of his guild members doomed another player in WoW:
