In Anthem, a global event called “Giant Task” is currently taking place. What is happening here, what rewards are there, and where are the locations of the named Titans?
The global event “Giant Task” is currently taking place in Anthem.
The description for the world event states: “Four named Titans roam around in the mode “Freeplay”. Defeat them to complete the limited-time challenge.”
What needs to be done in the event?
Find and defeat the four named Titans: To complete the challenge, all four Titans need to be killed at least once. It seems irrelevant whether they explode or you deal the final blow. The Titans are scattered across the open-world map.
Here you can find the event description: If you look under Challenges, you can find the quest “Giant Task” under the menu item “Fight”.
How long will the event last? You can see the duration of the event in the event description. According to this, it will end on Monday (February 25th) around 1:00 PM.
Where are the locations of the named Titans?
What are these Titans? The Titans are particularly large, powerful, and have a title such as “Titan of Ruin”. The title also hovers above the health bar of the monsters. You need to keep an eye out for these named giants. But be careful, the Titans are stronger than the ordinary ones.
Are the locations of the Titans always the same? Yes. The specified locations for the Titans are always the same. However, they may also appear further east, north, west, or south of the designated points.

Titan of Ruin – near Eddian Tree
The Titan of Ruin was sighted at the Eddian Tree, left of the east gate. In the picture, you can see the spot marked with a white circle.
Titan of Damnation – at Howel’s Tower
You can find the Titan of Damnation above Howel’s Tower. The position is approximately at the green cursor. This Titan has also been seen at the bottom left in the Valley of Tarsis.
Titan of War – at the Emerald Gorge
The Titan of War is located left of the Emerald Gorge, approximately at the green cursor.
The Titan of War was also found at the Monument and at the Mandible.
Titan of Devastation – at The Shrine
The Titan of Devastation was sighted above The Shrine. It also appeared on the eastern track.
What rewards are there?
Do the Titans drop special loot? Our community member Schmile303 reports that he has killed the Titan of Ruin twice on the difficulty level Grandmaster 1. He received no special loot, but Epic Drops.
A special vinyl skin is the reward: You get a “Graphic: Base” – this is a cosmetic item that gives your Javelin a special pattern. The skin can be used on all four Javelins and is shown in the lower image on the Storm Javelin.
This is what you need to do for the skin: Complete the challenge “Giant Task” and defeat all four Titans at least once.
