The start of Season 6 in Fortnite introduced new chests that offer particularly good loot. However, they are not easy to find. MeinMMO shows you where the bunker chests are located on the map.
What are these chests? The new bunker chests were introduced in Season 6 – Chapter 2. Anyone who finds one of these chests should definitely loot it, as it contains weapons in the rarities epic to legendary – including rocket launchers and the pump shotgun, which has made a return.
The locations of these chests are scattered all over the Season 6 map, but there is no guarantee that they will always spawn in their place in every round. This makes it harder to find them in matches. We will show you where to search if you want to secure the good loot.
All Locations of the Bunker Chests

So far, players have found 20 bunker chests at various locations on the map. Some locations may still appear during the season. We will update the guide as more finds are made.
Currently, you can find the chests at:
- The Shark – in the basement of a building
- South of Stealthy Stronghold on the green hill
- In Pleasant Park – in the basement of a building located to the southeast
- In Craggy Cliffs – hidden in a bunker
- Northwest of Steamy Stacks – on the top floor of the broken house (on a hill)
- Underground of the building at Steamy Stacks, which is in front of the reactors
- South of Colossal Crops on a green hill
- In Retail Row on the top floor of the yellow house
- West of Retail Row buried among flowers
- Southeast of the map on the top floor of the wooden cabin
- At Camp Cod in the western building
- At Camp Cod in the house that is on a hill
- Under the stairs in the small cabin located near the Apres-Ski cabin
- Northwest of Logjam Lumberyard, on a green hill
- In the ‘secret cabin’ of Weeping Woods
- North of Weeping Woods on a green hill
- In Sweaty Sands on the top floor of the house, which is located to the southeast
- West of the map on an island located on a stone hill
The chests that are located in open fields must be dug up with your pickaxe first. After that, they will be revealed, and you can interact with them to open them.

Is it worth seeking out the chests? If you want to equip yourself with strong loot, then you should target these new chests, as you will definitely be rewarded with the best weapons. However, since the chests do not always spawn, it is also a risk for you if you fly directly to them.
If there is no chest there, you can quickly get caught in the crossfire if other players are already faster equipped with weapons. However, if you happen to encounter the bunker chest, make sure to loot it!
If you do not want to hunt for the strong chests, then you also have the option in Season 6 to craft cool weapons yourself. With the new feature you can now craft prehistoric weapons that have not existed in Fortnite until now.
