WoW Dragonflight does many things differently than its direct predecessors. Gone are the days when you had to farm resources for hours to start the endgame. Once you reach the maximum level on the Dragon Isles, you can begin the hunt for powerful gear. MeinMMO reveals how you can succeed quickly.
How can you quickly get gear with up to 385 item level? Currently, two methods are particularly popular among players. You can participate in the Assault on the Dragonflights Fortress every 2 hours at the Coast of Awakening. Once that’s done, you should join your comrades in hunting the so-called “Super-Rares”.
These Super-Rares drop loot with higher item levels than “normal” rare mobs. Currently, you can find them with some luck at the Coast of Awakening, the Azure Span, and Thaldraszus.

Assault on the Dragonflights Fortress
What kind of event is this? The world event for the Assault on the Dragonflights Fortress takes place every 2 hours in the zone Coast of Awakening. If you successfully complete the scenario, you will be rewarded with a box that may contain powerful gear.
What’s so special about it? The great thing about this event is that you can participate as often as you like. You are only limited by the two-hour interval between the scenarios – once the event is over, you have to wait until it starts again.
It was originally still possible to bypass the two-hour cooldown of the event by hopping to another server. Some players could earn up to 6 or 7 boxes every 2 hours this way. But Blizzard has intervened here, and you can now only receive one reward box per hour.
What rewards are available? For the first successful completion of the event each week, there is guaranteed to be an item with up to item level 382, and for each subsequent completion, there is a box that has a chance of receiving a high-level item. Additionally, you will be rewarded with 50 reputation with the Valdrakken Accord and some crafting materials.

“Super-Rares” drop loot with item level 385
What are Super-Rares? These are rare monsters that the community has named “Super-Rares”. They are particularly interesting for players who already have a high item level. But don’t worry, if your item level is below 365, you can still obtain upgrades from “normal” rares.
How can you recognize Super-Rares? This is where it gets complicated, as it is not immediately apparent whether a monster is a Super-Rare. Therefore, theoretically, every rare monster could be a Super-Rare, but you won’t find out until you look at the loot.
If the item level is higher than what you would normally receive from rare mobs, you have defeated a Super-Rare. The community has already identified several Super-Rares, and we have compiled an overview based on this information.

What rewards are available? Generally, the Super-Rares carry a lot of different gear. From weapons to cloth, leather, chain, or plate armor, to trinkets, theoretically, anything can drop. However, which items they drop varies from monster to monster.
However, keep in mind that Super-Rares, just like “normal” rares, do not necessarily have to carry the suitable loot for every class. It is quite possible that you receive gear that you cannot use yourself.
Since the Super-Rares are a discovery that the community made only recently, it is possible that more information will come to light in the coming days and weeks. We will keep an eye on these developments and update the post accordingly.
