The last cutscene of WoW: Battle for Azeroth has been revealed. Here you can watch how the fight against N’Zoth ends.
In America, players have already conquered the new raid Ny’alotha in World of Warcraft and defeated the final boss N’Zoth. It was accessible with the start of Season 4. This comes with a small sequence of cutscenes that we don’t want to withhold from you.
Spoiler warning: If you don’t want to know how the fight against N’Zoth ends, you should not read further. You have been warned.
What is there to see? The fight against N’Zoth ends with a small cutscene. This takes place “in-game” and shows the end of the fight against N’Zoth the Corruptor. The Champion (i.e., the player) is completely overwhelmed by N’Zoth’s corruption and falls under the mental control of the Old God.
Magni pleads with the hero not to listen to the voices of N’Zoth, after all, one is a child of Azeroth and not a servant of the Old Gods. This cry for help is then amplified by the Heart of Azeroth, enabling the Champion to momentarily break free from the Old God’s influence.
Magni and MOTHER take advantage of this to use the Heart of Azeroth as a focal point. They activate the Titans’ machines (which we have cleansed in Patch 8.3) and fire at the Champion. The concentrated energy is directed into the Heart of Azeroth and fired at N’Zoth.
The cutscene shows N’Zoth’s end: After that, the game switches to a pre-rendered cutscene. The laser beam hits N’Zoth and fills him with the radiance of Azeroth. The Old God is slowly inflated and then appears to burst. Everywhere in Ny’alotha, the Black Empire begins to crumble, and N’Zoth’s eyes disappear. The entire vision of Ny’alotha seems to collapse before the cinematic ends.
Afterwards, players find themselves in the Heart Chamber and receive their loot.
What do you think of the final cinematic from Battle for Azeroth? A cool ending for the Old God? Or was it rather unimpressive?
