For many players of World of Warcraft, everything revolves around raiding. The maximum level must be reached quickly and the gear optimized to make it in the dungeons – just to be ready for the raids as fast as possible. But when do the raids in Battle for Azeroth start? The in-game calendar now reveals the dates.
It all kicks off at the beginning of September: The first raid in Battle for Azeroth will be Uldir, a research facility of the Titans in Nazmir. Here the origin of the Blood Trolls is explored and plenty of titan experiments can be observed.
The exact openings for the individual wings and modes are as follows:
- September 5: Uldir opens on Normal and Heroic
- September 12: Uldir opens on Mythic, the LFR wing “Halls of Containment” opens
- September 26: The LFR wing “Crimson Decent” opens
- October 10: The LFR wing “Heart of Corruption” opens
In America, the wings open one day earlier, as maintenance takes place there on Tuesdays.
Blizzard has now confirmed these dates for the opening of Uldir in the official forum.
Only 3 weeks of preparation: In summary, this means that players have exactly three weeks after the launch to reach the maximum level and gear up in mythic dungeons to be ready for the raids – at least if they want to compete at the top.
Some players criticize that they would have liked more time to enjoy the new content at a leisurely pace. They feel rushed by the schedule. Others would have preferred an opening on day one so that they wouldn’t have to wait for dates.
