Blasphemous 2
Blasphemous 2 is the Christian religious version of Dark Souls in 2D. In this game, you once again take on the role of the Penitent One and try to stop the reincarnation of the “Miracle.” The Miracle poses an indescribable threat to the world of Cvstodia and should therefore be destroyed.
The distinctive feature of Blasphemous 2 is the gothic art style with a religious touch. Everything revolves around sin, penance, and faith, wrapped in dark fantasy.
The protagonist is once again the Spike-headed Penitent. Equipped with different weapons, they venture forth and slice through the most diverse enemies. There are bosses as well, and they represent grotesque beings that serve evil.
It is important to mention that there is no stamina bar, as is typical in the genre. Rather, it is about dodging the opponents’ attacks at the right moment and landing hits as often as possible to bring them to their knees. As for the depiction of violence, Blasphemous 2 does not hide any details and lets blood spray wherever possible.
