Who could be stronger than a god-like necromancer? If you guessed an ancient toad, you guessed right: Lord Kroak ranks first on our list of the most powerful wizards in Warhammer Fantasy – although he is actually already dead.

Lord Kroak is from the first generation of the Slann and is perhaps the oldest among them. He was in direct contact with the creators of the world, from whom he learned to cast spells. Lord Kroak is so absurdly powerful that he once froze time in the universe – an unparalleled feat in the world of Warhammer Fantasy.
After his death, he returned as a so-called relic priest: his spirit still lingers in his body, allowing him to cast spells. Even in this state, Lord Kroak is still incredibly powerful; we would even say the most powerful (known) wizard in all of Warhammer Fantasy.
His power is simply absurdly great – but still not great enough to save the world. The last act of the ancient Slann was to complete the work of his pupil Mazdamundi and limit the destruction caused by the moon Morrslieb on Lustria, at least temporarily saving the rest of the world.
