Rank 5: Teclis
The twin brother of Prince Tyrion, who is probably the strongest warrior and general of the High Elves of Ulthuan (perhaps even of the whole world), is the strongest mortal wizard in the setting of Warhammer Fantasy. However, Teclis was physically frail and weak from a young age.
Teclis and Tyrion have received fresh toys with the latest DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3:
Teclis has proven his magical abilities less on the battlefield and more through his immense knowledge. He understands the eight winds of magic better than anyone else. These winds form the source of magic in Warhammer Fantasy and represent different elements like death, fire, or life. Manipulating them is not without danger, which is why Teclis founded the eight schools of magic where the wizards of the Empire are taught.
Even on the battlefield, Teclis can compete with some of the most powerful wizards. In a duel with Malekith, a powerful wizard in his own right (after all, he was trained by Morathi), the Elf managed to force his enemy to flee into the realm of Chaos with one last attack. Otherwise, the sheer force of his attack would have destroyed the Dark Elf.
During the End Times, Teclis devised a plan to empower the greatest heroes of the world using the winds of magic. But even with this help, they could not withstand the united forces of Chaos forever – the end of the world was sealed, and Teclis knew it. In the end, his aim was only to save a part of the Elves and transition them into the world of Age of Sigmar.
