Strixhaven
Strixhaven is a setting for those who want something a bit quieter – for here, epic battles and untamed forests are exchanged for a university experience. The focus is on academic rivalries, social interactions, solving mysteries, and coming of age.
Strixhaven is, like Ravnica and Theros, originally a world from the trading card game Magic: The Gathering, adapted for D&D, thereby bridging the franchises.
Strixhaven is the most prestigious arcane university in the entire multiverse. Here, the brightest minds and most talented wizards gather to study under the guidance of legendary professors, including some dragons themselves.
Players can study at one of 5 different colleges, each representing a completely different approach to dealing with magic:
- Lorehold: The college of history and archaeology
- Prismari: The college of elemental arts
- Quandrix: The college of numbers magic
- Silverquill: The college of eloquence
- Witherbloom: The college of essence studies
Rivalries and divides between students and professors are therefore a given. Each college has two colors, which will be immediately familiar to players familiar with Magic: The Gathering. The setting thus allows you to experience a magical high school adventure of a different kind and offers plenty of room for social entanglements, character development, and role-play-rich sessions.
