Brook

Who is he? Brook was once the vice-captain and musician of the Rumbar Pirates, a carefree crew that traveled the seas and spread joy through music. They were particularly close to a small whale, Laboum, whom they left at Rivers Mountain to meet again later. However, that reunion would never take place.
One day, the Rumbar Pirates were attacked by hostile pirates armed with poisoned weapons. As the poison slowly extinguished their lives, they made one final decision: they wanted to record a farewell song for Laboum. As their voices gradually faded, Brook continued to play as the last one until he died – hoping that their song would someday reach their little friend.
Why is his fate so sad? Brook had eaten the Revive-Revive Fruit, which allowed him to return to life after death. However, his spirit could not find his body immediately. For a whole year, he wandered as a soul through the darkness until he finally found his own already rotting corpse. From that moment on, he was a living skeleton.
The next 50 years, Brook spent completely alone on a ghost ship in the Florian Triangle, without human contact, only with the memory of his crew and the promise to Laboum. Nevertheless, he could not fulfill his promise to Laboum immediately because his shadow was stolen by Gecko Moria and he could not step into the sun without burning without it.
