Boa Hancock
Who is this? Boa Hancock is the empress of Amazon Lily, the leader of the Kuja Pirates, and a former Shichibukai. She is considered the most beautiful woman in the world and possesses the Love Fruit, a Paramecia Devil Fruit that enables her to petrify people when they fall in love with her.
Hancock first appears in the Amazon Lily Saga when Luffy lands on her island after an unwanted incident. Initially, she sees him as an enemy and tries to fight him. She believes that every man possesses an evil nature
that they hide. She wants to portray Luffy as a threat and defeat him. However, over time she realizes more and more that Luffy has an exceptionally kind and honest personality.
Why is Boa Hancock so cool? Boa Hancock is not only one of the strongest women in One Piece, but also one of the most important figures in Luffy’s journey:
- She helps Luffy during one of his toughest times. Without Hancock, Luffy would never have reached Impel Down to rescue Ace. She uses her status as a Shichibukai to grant him access to the prison fortress.
- Later, during the Paramount War, she secretly supports Luffy, even though she officially stands on the side of the Marines as a Shichibukai.
- Later, when Luffy is completely devastated by Ace’s loss, Amazon Lily becomes a refuge for him to recover.
Boa Hancock is a perfect mix of strength, beauty, and charisma, and has become one of Luffy’s most loyal allies over time.
