Doflamingo

Who is this? Donquixote Doflamingo was the king of Dressrosa and a former Shichibukai. He led the Donquixote Pirates and was one of the most powerful underworld bosses, known as Joker. His String Fruit belongs to the Paramecia type and allows him to create extremely durable strings with which he can control enemies like puppets, pull himself into the air, or even slice entire cities apart.
His grand appearance occurs in the Dressrosa Saga, where he rules over the kingdom of Dressrosa as a ruthless tyrant. Luffy and his allies, including Trafalgar Law, confront him in a massive battle. The showdown between Luffy and Doflamingo is one of the most intense fights in One Piece, where Luffy uses Gear 4 for the first time to defeat him.
Why is Doflamingo so cool? Doflamingo is one of the most charismatic and fearsome antagonists in One Piece, and for several reasons:
- He is the first major opponent in the New World that Luffy has to use Gear 4 against.
- His String Fruit may sound harmless at first, but it is one of the most versatile and deadly Devil powers.
- Doflamingo is a master of manipulation, both on a personal and global level – he controls entire kingdoms and even the underworld of the pirate world.
- We learn a lot about his personal history, including the fact that his family used to be Celestial Dragons – a powerful noble elite that sees themselves as divine beings.
Even after his defeat, Doflamingo remains a fascinating figure. Even in the Impel Down prison, he seems to still have influence and could one day re-enter the story. His presence, power, and cold demeanor make him one of the most iconic villains in One Piece.
