5. Daemon Princes
Mortal beings who have served the gods particularly well sometimes gain the privilege of ascending to daemonhood. These creatures are then called daemon princes and are among the most powerful beings in the forces of Chaos, just behind the Greater Demons – in some cases even stronger.
What sets them apart from other, weaker demons is that they combine the cruelty of demons and the traits of their respective god with human flaws and abilities. Additionally, they can, similar to soulcrushers, exist longer in real space. This makes them particularly nasty opponents on the battlefield.
They also carry demonic weapons that most armors cannot withstand. Even as a skilled fighter with good protection, you are virtually defenseless here. While you may still have a chance against lesser demons, a daemon prince would send even the best fighters to their god.
