6. Soulcrushers
A special form of demons are soulcrushers, which in a stricter sense are no longer demons but demonic machines. They are created in the Soul Forge by merging a demon with a machine.
Soulcrushers are among the most unpleasant creatures you can encounter. It’s said that outside the Forge, demons fight for the privilege to become a soulcrusher. This means that only the strongest and most skilled can even become such a construct. Whether that’s actually true is uncertain. However, it doesn’t really make much of a difference.
What makes soulcrushers so special is the fact that they can exist almost indefinitely in the real space. The metal holds the essence of the demon and allows it to leave the Warp longer than most other demons.
Particularly horrific soulcrushers are because they don’t just tear you apart or torture you, but send your souls directly to the Forge, where they not only suffer but also serve as material for other unholy constructs.
