1. Keepers of Secrets
Slaanesh arose from the exorbitant excess of the Eldar and his Keepers of Secrets are a manifestation of just these vices. Unlike other Greater Demons, each Keeper of Secrets is different from each other.
They reflect a part of Slaanesh’s mood, can take any form from grotesquely distorted to beautifully exquisite. Keepers of Secrets invade your thoughts, searching for anything that can cause suffering or joy, to drive the feelings to unimaginable heights and corrupt you. Every positive trait is twisted into something negative.
However, they are not only known for their psychic attacks, they also enjoy flaying their victims. Any form of suffering and ecstasy is welcome to them – and they ensure that you endure as long as possible to experience as much of it as possible.
Accordingly, the Keepers of Secrets are not keen on killing you, but rather the opposite: they want you to suffer for as long as possible. And even if you should once experience the grace of death, it need not be permanent: A traitor in Warhammer 40,000 is constantly resurrected because his death is far too amusing for a god.
