The indie studio Zero Gravity has launched the Early Access version of the online space survival game Hellion.
In Hellion, you arrive as a colonist in a solar system and find that some catastrophe has destroyed all preparations for colonization upon arrival. You have no choice but to try to stay alive somehow. Unlike other survival games, you are exploring in the vacuum of space here and must try to build your own station and a spaceship from debris. You will find useful items everywhere that help you create everything you need to survive.
Exploration, Building, and Survival
In the Early Access version, your task is to salvage destroyed modules from space stations to convert them into a functioning base. You need to mine resources that you can turn into fuel, food, water, or air, as well as components for crafting. Additionally, you will set out to search the destroyed stations and ships for information on what has happened in the solar system before your arrival. You will also find useful items during your explorations.
However, you must contend with the hostile conditions in space. Your air supply runs low quickly, and moving in the weightlessness of space is also not easy. Alone, you will find it hard to survive, which is why you should team up with other players. But be careful, not everyone is friendly, and PvP is possible everywhere.
Many Updates Planned
The Early Access version of Hellion is set to be continuously developed. Updates are already in the works, allowing you to build your own spaceships from modules and customize your equipment. Space battles are also planned, and you will be able to mine resources on gas giants. Hacking to bypass security systems and much more is also in development.
