A thrilling week lies behind the players in Helldivers 2. Quite surprisingly, the Helldivers achieved victory over the Automaton faction. The reward for their efforts fits well with the game.
Which victory is being celebrated? Since the release of the game, the Helldivers have been fighting against robots and bugs in the universe. At first, the robots were rather unpopular, and many players were more against the bugs. The general commands from the Over Command against the robots were also much shorter than the victories against the bugs.
Even the developers of Helldivers were surprised that players could mobilize so many people to battle the robots. The new general commands were successfully completed by the Helldivers, and the final blow against the Automaton faction was also achieved by the players.
The robots are now reportedly removed from the galaxy for good, and this is being celebrated as well.
On April 11, the new Warbond “Democratic Detonation” is set to be released. Here you can watch the trailer:
A parade on Over-Earth and a minute’s break as a thank you
What did the Helldivers receive for their heroism? To celebrate the victory over the Automaton faction, there was a big festival on Over-Earth, centered around a parade.
Additionally, the Helldivers received an extra minute of break for their bravery, minus the time it takes to read the message. However, Helldivers currently in action do not receive an extra break.
The reward for the victory over the robots may seem small, but it fits well into the role-playing of the shooter.
Here you can see the parade:
How do players react to the reward? The Helldivers are pleased with the extra minute of break and the parade celebrating their victory at home. On X (formerly Twitter), user @BringPSHome writes “A whole minute?! Yes!! I can finally say goodbye to my family without being late!”
Also, @KartalEagleEye responds on X (formerly Twitter): “I will use the remaining 15 seconds to take a look at the super eclipse on Super Earth today.”
The Helldivers are also pondering the future of the galaxy. Now that democracy is freed from the robots, players are wondering what Game Master Joel will do next to put Over-Earth and the Helldivers in danger.
@voicemod writes on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m so scared of what’s coming…”
@augustow08 writes on X (formerly Twitter): “Something is brewing. Either in the south or closer to Cyberstan.”
Cyberstan is considered one of the places where Helldivers suspect the robots’ campaign target, but due to the victory, we probably won’t learn what they wanted there for a while. You can read the community’s speculations here: Players of Helldivers 2 believe they have figured out the robots’ target – and it’s not Over-Earth
