Helldivers 2 wanted you to eliminate 2 billion bugs in 6 days, but underestimated how strong you have become in the fight against the robots.
What is the deal with the 2 billion insects? In Helldivers 2, there are regularly new general orders for players that advance the war against the various enemy factions – such as the complete extermination of the robot vanguard.
Yesterday, on April 18, there was a new general order at 12:00 PM German time. This required the Helldivers to eliminate a total of 2 billion bugs. Players had six days to complete the order.
What initially sounded like a long and tough battle surprisingly ended in a victory for Over-Earth.
How did the battle go? About 11 hours after receiving the general order, the mission was already accomplished and 2 billion bugs were eliminated. By around 11 PM, you could enjoy your well-deserved 45 medals as a reward.
As seen in screenshots on Reddit, the fighters of Over-Earth had already crushed over 916,000,000 bugs in the first eight hours, completing about 45% of the goal.
Helldivers give 200% when it comes to killing
What does the community say about their success? The diligent Helldivers celebrate their triumph and state that the ongoing fight against the robot forces has hardened them. Of course, the typical Helldivers humor can’t be missed in the comments on Reddit.

What happens next? Now that the 2 billion bugs have been successfully eliminated, there must be a new general order soon. Typically, the order updates around 12:00 PM. However, no new order has appeared by 2:00 PM German time.
