In Helldivers 2, players are currently facing defeat after defeat, and now Over-Earth must make it clear to its fighters that the games are over. Democracy has declared a state of emergency and reveals that your previous missions were merely small special operations.
What’s currently happening in Helldivers 2? Aside from all the debacles regarding balancing and Sony, the Helldivers are currently trying to prove themselves on various fronts, but it’s not going well at all. Two general commands have failed, including the battle to thin out the robot fronts.
Up to now, it seemed that players were always fighting against the largest armed forces of the enemy factions, but Over-Earth has now stated that the previous missions were merely special operations. The real fight against the enemies of democracy starts now, and players must prepare for it.
The real fight begins now
What has Over-Earth announced? After the narrow defeat of the last general command, a call was sent out to all bot annihilators and bug killers. This now clarifies how the previous missions should be viewed: they were never the big battles that everyone suspected. This is just the beginning, and the new general command is meant to transition into the next phase of the fight.
According to Over-Earth, players must now defend and conquer four different planets. Democracy wants to establish S.E.A.F. training facilities on them, where billions of new soldiers will be put through a 72-hour base training. Over-Earth is mobilizing its troops, and many players believe that the conflict between the two enemy parties could escalate.
What do the players say? On Reddit, players are wildly discussing the upcoming conflicts that could arise between democracy and its enemies. Reddit user Anon123012 notes that Helldivers 2 has now completed its early game and has arrived at mid-game. Another user thus sees the previous general commands and war bonds more as extended training.
Many also find it amusing that the new recruits have 72 hours for base training while actual players had much less time. thebear103b thus remarks: “Helldivers only needed a maximum of 5-10 minutes to become elite, and 72 hours for SEAF seems a bit long anyway, lol.”
What do you think of Over-Earth’s call? Do you believe that the battles on the fronts will be even more brutal, or do you think this is the start of bringing the third faction on board? We would love to hear your opinion in the comments! You can find out more about the Illuminati in our overview.
