In Helldivers 2, there was a long period of silence with the community. No new updates regarding new war bonds. However, on August 8th, that is supposed to change, as with “Flame of Freedom,” you can look forward to fiery battles.
What is included in the new war bond? With the upcoming war bond “Flame of Freedom,” new content will be released on August 8th for all Democrats among you. With it, players will receive three new weapons for their arsenal:
- Primary Weapon: SG-451-Cookout
- Fires phosphorus incendiary rounds at enemies
- Primary Weapon: FLAM-66-Torcher
- A compact flamethrower
- Secondary Weapon: P-72-Crisper
- A small flamethrower in pistol form
In addition, a new booster is set to be released that modifies your Hellpod. The landing area will be engulfed in flames. Perfect for a fiery appearance. There should also be a new paint job for your vehicles, mechs, and Hellpods – the color is orange.
Lastly, there will be new emotes, two capes, and two armor sets. All armor collectors can rejoice now, as the armors have a special effect that many a Hell diver has been wishing for since the battles on Hellmire.

What is the highlight of the war bond? The highlight of the war bond is the two new armors:
- Heat Seeker I-09
- Draconaut I-102
Both armors don’t look that spectacular at first, but they provide you with a new passive effect: Hard to ignite!
The effect ensures that you have 75% damage resistance against fire. Anyone who has fought on Hellmire will instantly equip these armors and never take them off again. Firestorms, napalm attacks, or even fire grenades and flamethrowers can no longer kill you in seconds with this armor.
Whether the armors are light, medium, or heavy is still unknown.
