We have 3 new decks for you to succeed in the expansion “Legacy of the Dragons” of Hearthstone .
The latest Hearthstone expansion “Legacy of the Dragons” is live and has brought along a proud 140 new cards. As a player, you might easily lose track and might struggle to build a solid deck at the start. To help you avoid spending ages tinkering with your own ideas and to get you started with solid decks right away, we have some valid options for you.
Of course, you can still adjust and refine the decks according to your preferences, but they should provide a solid start into the latest expansion.
You can simply copy the respective “deck code” directly into Hearthstone, and the game should automatically assemble the deck for you. The dust cost of the decks is based on the assumption that a player does not own any of the necessary cards – in most cases, the decks will therefore be cheaper.
The “pure Paladin”
Deck code: AAECAZ8FBPoGjwndCoetAw1G3AOvB9b+Atn+AsWhA8ikA5amA4euA5CuA5uuA5yuA66wAwA=
Dust cost: 6780
The first deck is a “pure Paladin” from the pro player Trump. As the name suggests, this deck uses only class cards from Paladin, so it does not rely on any neutral cards. This limits the deck’s creation, but two cards in particular provide a massive boost. The two cards “Lightforged Zealot” and “Lightforged Knight” activate their battle cries only when you have only Paladin cards in the deck.
While the zealot allows the player to equip an Argent Champion, the knight, when played, ensures that you draw 5 random Paladin cards into your hand. This effectively increases your deck size to a proud 40 cards, which, in many cases, will make the difference between victory and defeat.
Basically, the deck is based on the typical Paladin mechanics that have been solid since day 1: bringing many minions onto the board and buffing them significantly. Together with the easily completable quest Refuge, it’s a pretty solid deck that will likely also work with slight variations.
The “Legacy of the Dragons” Handlock
Deck code: AAECAf0GBsQIxfMCnPgCoIAD8KwD8awDDM4H4QeNCPH3AtaGA6GhA/2kA+WsA+usA+ysA+6sA/CwAwA=
Dust cost: 10200
The second deck is one for Warlocks and comes from the pro player Kolento, who has already experimented a bit with the deck on stream. The deck utilizes the typical Warlock strategy of always having extremely many cards in hand and thus always having the perfect answer for any situation. Thanks to the legendary card Valdris Felgorge, your hand size can even increase from 10 to 12 cards. This makes cards like Mountain Giant even cheaper and cards like Twilight Drake even more effective.
With new cards like the Abyssal Summoner, which summons a demon with stats equal to your hand size, you can already bring minions with stats of 11/11 onto the battlefield for just 6 mana.
A solid combination of spells and healing effects additionally ensures that your hero ability can be used frequently.
The Dragon Deck for Mages
Deck code: AAECAf0EHk2KAckDqwTFBOwHjQi38QLF8wKggAPoiQPsiQPolAPnlQO9mQOKngOhoQPCoQP8owOSpAOEpwP1rAP6rAPwrwOIsAPwsAP8sAOHsQORsQPhtgMAAA==
Dust cost: 18600
If you prefer a more elegant approach and have a lot of Arcane Dust or a significant portion of the cards, you can try the Dragon Deck from Essurio for Mages. The deck relies on the player having many dragons in hand or discovering them through other cards. This then triggers various bonus effects. At the same time, the deck is a so-called “Highlander” deck – as each card appears only once. This allows you to utilize additional effects, such as the damage from the new Reno or the extremely powerful battle cry of the Dragon Queen Alexstrasza.
Finally, a deck with many dragons greatly benefits from Frizz Kindleroost, whose battle cry reduces the cost of all dragons in the deck by 2 – making many dragons a serious threat in the relatively early stages of the game.
If you enjoy a well-portioned bit of randomness, you also get a Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron to let 10 random spells decide the outcome in doubt. That is always a solid, last resort.
What type of deck are you currently playing? Which new cards are you trying to create a devastating combo with?
