Developer Blizzard offers a diamond version for a card in Hearthstone, the digital card game inspired by the Warcraft world. This cosmetic costs a hefty €25 and the ability fits like a glove. Players say: The card almost feels like a meme.
The digital card game Hearthstone is just about to release its latest expansion, “Journey to the Sunken City.” You can view the 135 cards of the new expansion here.
However, before that, developer Blizzard released a new card for a proud €25 in the Battle.net shop: the diamond version of Drek’Thar (via battle.net).
The blind Orc and talented seer is not new to the game, but the diamond version has been freshly added. And the juicy price along with the effect immediately creates a meme mood among players.

What’s up with the card? Drek’Thar is a follower of the Horde and offers an interesting effect for decks that work more with low-cost cards:
- Drek’Thar effect: If this minion costs more than all the minions in your deck, you summon 2 of them.
The effect triggers some players immediately – as the single card is associated with very high costs of €24.99.
Additionally, it should be noted that a gold version of the card could already be obtained during the event quest “Battle for Alterac” if you chose the Horde.
