New cards for Hearthstone Knights of the Frozen Throne amaze fans. Valeera gains Stealth and Druids receive a card with a value of 17 Mana!
Only a few days remain until the release of Knights of the Frozen Throne, the latest expansion for Hearthstone. Many new cards have been revealed again. We show you the highlights here.
The “Death Knight” transformation for Rogues is Valeera the Hollow and costs 9 Mana. It grants the Rogue 5 Armor and additionally Valeera gains Stealth until the next turn, making her untargetable and unattackable. The hero power then becomes a passive effect, namely Death’s Shadow. This causes the player to draw a Shadow Reflection at the beginning of their turn.
Shadow Reflection transforms into a copy of that card after playing another card. For example, “Disembowel” can be copied multiple times after a few turns – or any minion.
Shamans get the new Murloc Brrrloc. This 2 Mana minion has stats of 2/2 and freezes an opponent as a Battlecry.
There is also a spell for Shamans that allows Murlocs to be played faster. Ice Fishing costs 2 Mana and lets the player draw 2 Murlocs from their deck.
A new spell is available for Paladins. For 2 Mana, they can cast Desperate Stand, which gives a minion an additional deathrattle effect: Resurrect this minion with 1 health.
Priests receive a new buff minion, the Shadow Ascendant. For 2 Mana, this undead lady has solid stats of 2/2 and has a powerful passive effect: At the end of the turn, she grants another random friendly minion +1/+1.
As a neutral minion with the potential to ruin the game for everyone, the Skulking Geist comes. For 6 Mana, he has weak stats of 4/6 but has a powerful Battlecry: Destroy all spells that cost 1 in both hands and both decks. Especially Paladins are likely to lose all their secrets!
Warlocks receive the probably strangest spell in the game. Treachery costs 3 Mana and causes a friendly minion to switch control with the opponent. This is beneficial if a minion has a negative deathrattle effect. But a Doomcaller could also go up particularly quickly…
Druids receive one of the most powerful spells in the game. For 10 Mana, they can cast Ultimate Infestation. This has several effects:
- Draws 5 cards
- Deals 5 damage
- Gains 5 Armor
- Summons a 5/5 Ghoul
The pure “value” of this card lies between 16 and 18 Mana – that’s hard to top.
How do you like the cards and Valeera’s ability in particular?
The Shaman in Hearthstone also gets a lot more RNG – as these cards prove.
