According to Blizzard, several thousand bots have now been banned in the free online card game Hearthstone .
Botting in Hearthstone is a problem. Everyone seems to agree on that. Especially Shaman and Warlock decks are often suspected of not having a real person behind them, but a computer program acting with mechanical precision, which never gets tired and even earns gold for its owner when they are asleep, at work, or in school. Yesterday at 1 AM our time, an official forum from Blizzard appeared on Battle.net: they have banned several thousand accounts related to botting until 2015. For Blizzard, fair play in Hearthstone is the top priority.
In comments to this news and in forums, players are already discussing whether a ban until 2015 is not too lenient.
