A developer has created a neural network that automatically develops new HearthStone cards. Some results are complete nonsense, while other cards appear quite usable.
New Hearthstone Cards Coming Out
Blizzard announced some time ago that they want to support and further develop HearthStone for at least 10 years. Fans have already come up with expansions in the past and created their own cards that could appear in a future addon in some form or another. On reddit, user scfdivine has now created a neural network – a program that evaluates existing HearthStone cards and creates new cards based on the insights. In the meantime, it even delivers quite usable results that one could well imagine in an upcoming expansion.
However, the first creations are quite amusing, as adjustments were still being made. Nothing is better than Blood Manos, a 6/0 minion (which is immediately dead) for 6 mana and the menacing text: “ALL minions.” But the Dark Cill Mage also causes burnt synapses: “Choose a minion and become a minion with a random one in your hand.” Or to put it in German: Yeah, right.
