Hearthstone gives you a golden legendary card. And it even creates many more cards – so grab it while it’s free.
Hearthstone is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary, but the corresponding birthday mood has not yet caught on with all players. Now there is finally a really good gift for everyone: A golden legendary card. Blizzard unlocked it after a streamer demanded it.
Especially Death Knights are currently having fun in Hearthstone:
What did the streamer say? On X, Zeddy is quite active and comments basically every few hours or shares his views on Hearthstone. A while ago, he wrote to the Hearthstone account:
Do you want to prove your goodwill and reward the players of Hearthstone? Then give everyone the golden Innkeeper Stonebrew, just as you should have done from the very beginning. […]
The Hearthstone account only responded with a short “Ok”.
Whether this is just a coincidence and a timing overlap is hard to say – in any case, it is now a nice gesture to make the golden card available to everyone.
What kind of card is this? The “Innkeeper Stonebrew” (Harth Stonebrew) is a neutral legendary minion for 6 mana with 5/5 stats. The battle cry says: “Replace your hand with iconic cards from the past. (Once per game).”
When the card is played, the cards in your hand are exchanged, and you receive a whole series of cards with high synergy effects that have been known from Hearthstone in the past. This ranges from a mage with Antonidas and lots of cheap spells to a warrior who can endlessly summon “Grim Guest”.
With a bit of luck or skill, you can have a complete win condition on hand with Innkeeper Stonebrew and can win the match.
Since Innkeeper Stonebrew is played in its golden variant, all cards generated by him are also golden, making it visually impressive.
How do you get the card? If you want to enjoy Innkeeper Stonebrew in its golden form, all you have to do is log into Hearthstone. You have until August 28, 2024 to do this; after that, the free gift will disappear if you haven’t claimed it yet.
Even if you are not currently playing Hearthstone, it’s worth picking up the card. Because it will also work well in future decks to turn around what seems like a lost game – or simply to relive the absurdly strong combinations from Hearthstone’s past. With this action, Blizzard also aims to alleviate concerns that Hearthstone is on the verge of ending.
