Even before BlizzCon 2018, the next expansion of Hearthstone was leaked. This is due to a news site that had been informed beforehand. The new and final expansion for Hearthstone 2018 is called Rastakhan’s Rumble and brings 9 new troll heroes.
Actually, BlizzCon starts in just a few hours, as the opening ceremony begins at 7:00 PM, where the major innovations from Blizzard will be introduced. However, a mistake on the PCGamer site caused the first news to already be out.
The next Hearthstone expansion deals with trolls and is called Rastakhan’s Rumble!
How did the leak happen? The magazine PCGamer apparently made an error. In an article that had nothing to do with Hearthstone, several paragraphs appeared that addressed the new Hearthstone expansion.
What does the leak say? We have translated the lines for you – please keep in mind that these are not the direct words and announcements from Blizzard, but rather (planned) article from PCGamer:
“Once per generation, the trolls of Azeroth come together to contest the blessings of the Loa and the favor of King Rastakhan. This fight-without-boundaries forms the basis for Rastakhan’s Rumble, the next expansion of Hearthstone, which was unveiled today in the opening ceremony of BlizzCon.
Nine teams will participate in this variant of the time-honored troll fight, each led by a legendary troll champion representing one of the Hearthstone classes. The Loa, ancient gods revered by the trolls, will also participate in the fights as legendary servants.
Shirvallah the Tiger is the Loa of the Paladins and costs 25 mana to be played. You can reduce the cost by casting spells, but even then, it is a high price that only very slow decks can likely pay.”
The leak becomes more credible as this expansion circulated several days ago. The Korean YouTube channel on Twitter had already jumped the gun too early.
What new cards are there? New cards have not yet been introduced, but the leak indicates that each class will receive at least one Loa as a legendary servant.
This means that the BlizzCon 2018 is already missing an exciting reveal ahead of time. Of course, it remains to be seen what the new cards will look like and what new game modes the developers will come up with.
