The next mini-expansion for Hearthstone has been announced. Lady Onyxia is a core aspect of the set “Onyxia’s Lair”.
It’s been exactly two months since the release of the expansion “Divided in Alterac Valley” and players are craving new cards. Now is the time, as Blizzard has unveiled the next “mini-set” for Hearthstone: Onyxia’s Lair.
What has been revealed? The new mini-set Onyxia’s Lair consists of 35 different cards – including duplicates, that makes 66 cards. Most of them will have a thematic connection to dragons and the well-known abilities related to Onyxia that players have known for almost 20 years from World of Warcraft.
The cards will be revealed over the coming days and should all be published by the release date.
Of course, a new trailer is also included, in which the expansion is thematically sung. In the best “Disney villain style”, Lady Katrana Prestor – Onyxia’s human form – dances through her lair and recounts her sinister plans:
First cards have also been revealed:
How much does the mini-set cost? As is now usual, you can purchase the mini-set in several ways.
- The most affordable option for many players is to buy it with earned in-game gold. You need to put down 2,000 gold coins to acquire all 66 cards.
- If you’d rather pay with real money, you can shell out €15 and also receive all 66 cards.
- If you currently have excess money and want the entire set in golden edition, you can instead pay a whopping €70. For that, you will get all 66 cards in a golden, animated version.
When does the mini-set come out? The mini-set “Onyxia’s Lair” will be released on February 15, in less than a week. As usual, this will likely happen in the early evening hours between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. You should restart your game then to make the set available.
What do you think of the trailer? Does it look promising? Or do you want to see all the cards first?
