Blizzard is considering reversing some nerfs in Hearthstone under certain conditions.
With the announcements for Hearthstone in the last few days, Blizzard has sparked many discussions. Just yesterday, it was reported that there will be no adventure as an expansion in 2017, but instead a total of three new sets with nearly 130 cards each.
Another big announcement was the introduction of a “Hall of Fame”, where some classic cards will disappear. In the Year of the Mammoth, a total of 6 cards (including Sylvanas and Ragnaros) will be excluded from the Classic set and will only be playable in Wild format. As compensation, however, owners of these cards will receive the amount of Arcane Dust back (without losing the cards).
On Reddit, a user subsequently asked if the nerf of the Molten Giant couldn’t be reversed and put into the “Hall of Fame” – after all, the card has been practically unplayable since the last change and therefore has no justification for existence anymore (aside from a “Holy Wrath” Paladin).
Ben Brode reacted to this and wrote:
“We are considering this for the next rotation.”
In plain language, that means: This won’t happen until 2018.
However, if Blizzard decides to move several cards from the classic set to the “Wild” format and actually reverses the nerfs, it could also mean good news for the Warsong Commander and some Druid cards.
But so far, these are just considerations that are still far off.
We conducted an interview with Ben Brode in the last few days! You can find it here.
