In Hearthstone , the announced nerfs are now live. To make the transition less harsh, everyone receives 100 gold as a gift.
About two weeks ago, the developers at Blizzard revealed how they plan to regain control of the balance in Hearthstone. The Druid had become completely out of control and was considered nearly unbeatable. Therefore, there have been several changes to the most popular Druid cards. However, Murlocs, Shamans, and Warriors also had to face some adjustments.
Here are the changes in detail:
Innervate from the Druid now grants only 1 additional mana for this turn instead of 2 mana. Thus, Innervate is effectively only a coin.
Plague of Murlocs from Druids now has a mana cost increase from 5 to 6. This is intended to slow down Druids a bit. Together with the change to Innervate, casting Plague of Murlocs will become more significant.
The Fiery War Axe of the Warrior is raised from 2 mana costs to 3 mana costs. This means it can no longer be played as early and resembles a Hunter’s Bow – just without additional card text.
Shamans have to deal with a nerf to Hex. The mana cost increases from 3 to 4. This makes the spell much more similar to the Mage’s Polymorph.
A final nerf affects all Murloc fans. The effect of the Murloc Leader is changed. In the future, the Murloc Leader will grant only +2 attack to all other friendly Murlocs instead of +2/+1.
Pirate Day gives 100 gold in Hearthstone
To ease the burden of these changes a little, there is currently a mini-event in Hearthstone – Pirates Day. This is also celebrated in Hearthstone and simply grants you 100 gold coins. With this, you can buy a card pack in the shop or already have a large part of the costs for the next arena round together.
So log in quickly before the opportunity passes!
Pirate Day is also celebrated in World of Warcraft – but it’s even crazier there.
