The Hearthstone player with the largest card collection pressed “the button” – did the servers hold up?
The Hearthstone player Octavian Morosan, better known as Kripparian, is considered one of the best players in the world. Especially when he ventures into the arena, he regularly comes home with 10-12 victories – something that average players rarely achieve.
However, winning was not his only goal in Hearthstone. He had set out to acquire every available card in the game in a golden variant. For this purpose, he has collected, collected, and collected some more. In doing so, he has never disenchanted triple cards, but simply continued to amass them.

At the same time, he updated a list in which he recorded how many cards he still needed in order to have the arcane dust necessary to craft 2 golden copies of each card.
Kripparian’s goal has become unattainable
But that dream is now over. As Blizzard now releases 3 card expansions per year, Kripparian concluded that he can no longer achieve this goal. The card pool is growing faster than he can earn the dust.
For this reason, Kripp has decided to disenchant all excess cards in his collection. That amounts to a total of 660,620 arcane dust!
Previously, Ben Brode had explained that the Hearthstone servers would have crashed if Kripparian had disenchanted that many cards at once. This is now “probably no longer the case” – and so it happened.
Unfortunately, the result was quite unremarkable. When Kripparian pressed the button, his game froze and did not respond for almost a minute. After a restart, the arcane dust was then on his account – apparently, the game client could not handle that amount, but the servers did not experience any issues.
In any case, Kripp should now have enough arcane dust for the rest of his gameplay to craft any desired card immediately.
Blizzard has new plans for the arena, where the rewards are set to be revamped!
