Damnation for All!
The Hearthstone community still has to wait a bit longer for the release of “Whispers of the Old Gods”, as there is still no precise date other than “late April, early May”. Until then, Blizzard regularly reveals cards from the expansion to keep fans entertained (and to boost the pre-order of card packs).
Warlocks love to wipe all minions off the board with “Swirling Nether”. But how could such a card be made even stronger? It’s easier than you think. The new epic Warlock spell “Doom!” destroys all minions on the battlefield for 10 mana and allows the player to draw a card for each minion destroyed. The spell is currently considered very situational, as Warlocks often already have a rather full hand and risk “burning” many cards.
For Priests, the tentacled cat has been let out of the bag with the reveal of the new legendary card “Herald Volazj”. For 6 mana, the Faceless has stats of 5/5 and the battle cry: “Summons 1/1 copies of each of your other minions.” There is much discussion around this card, as while the effect can be devastating with Ragnaros (since even a 1/1 Ragnaros deals 8 damage at the end of the turn), many fans criticize that this is a typical “Win More” card that can only be played if you are already significantly ahead.
Finally, all classes have the new neutral minion “Infested Tauren”, a character for 4 mana with stats of 2/3 and taunt. Since that alone is rather weak, it also has the deathrattle effect: “Summon a 2/2 slime”, which however comes without taunt.
