Hearthstone and World of Warcraft are inextricably linked. But which card motifs can really be found in Azeroth?
A Great, Strange Journey
From a pure story perspective, Blizzard’s card game takes place in the taverns of Azeroth, thus in World of Warcraft. Numerous NPCs across all continents play the game, and with certain toys, you can also highlight that you like to let the cards fly across the board. So much for Hearthstone in WoW.
Conversely, WoW in Hearthstone, the characters and spells from WoW serve as templates for the cards. The player Jeppz has undertaken the long and arduous journey to find the various WoW characters of the legendary cards.
For this, he had to visit numerous locations and also cheat a little, as not all characters are still present in World of Warcraft. Nevertheless, he has managed to create a quite respectable collection that covers most NPCs. A small selection of his screenshots is presented here.
