The next Hearthstone expansion leads to Un’Goro! At least, this has been revealed by a possible leak.
At Blizzard, there seems to have been another new leak pointing to the next Hearthstone expansion. A clever user checked the resumes of some voice actors who have worked with Blizzard multiple times. When looking at the voice actress Lani Minella, they found that she apparently voices some lines in the game Hearthstone: Lost Secrets of Un’Goro. The hype train is already in full swing, as an expansion with this name does not yet exist.
In the corresponding expansion, Minella voices lines for the characters “Golakka Crawler”, “Pteradactyl”, “Anklesaur”, “Hydra”, and “Brontosaurus” – all related creatures that actually exist in the crater of Un’Goro.
The next expansion for Hearthstone is expected around April – Blizzard plans to release two adventures and one “card expansion” per year.
Although the source seems credible, it remains to be seen whether the leak is confirmed.
In terms of storyline, the Un’Goro crater has much more to offer than meets the eye. The Un’Goro crater is not only a wild jungle with giant dinosaurs and largely untouched nature but also a testing ground for the Titans, who have experimented here on a smaller scale on how to develop the species of Azeroth. There are still titanic artifacts and structures there that researchers have not yet fully uncovered – so there are plenty of “Lost Secrets” to be found.
Aside from that, Un’Goro in World of Warcraft is a huge homage to Nintendo – monkeys leave crates behind and the two brothers “Mario and Luigi” (with slightly altered names) are causing havoc there.
