The second wing of Karazhan is open. We reveal to you what awaits in the second part of the Hearthstone adventure.
Oh Romulo, I drink this for you!
Last night (08/18/2016), the second wing of the Hearthstone expansion “A Night in Karazhan” was released. As in the previous week, there are a total of 3 bosses waiting for the players, who should already be familiar to the WoW veterans from the namesake instance. In the “Theater” wing, the battles against Julianne, the Big Bad Wolf, and the Evil Witch await.
Julianne has – as should be – her beloved Romulo in tow, whom she summons again for 4 mana each time he dies. The problem: As long as Romulo is alive, Julianne cannot be dealt damage. Since her decks are also full of taunt minions, it can become relatively exhausting to stand up against her. However, a classic rush or zoo deck should quickly entice the infatuated one to swallow the poison.
The Big Bad Wolf has another exciting mechanic. All minions that players have in their deck cost only 1 mana, but also have stats of 1/1, so the wolf can quickly devour them. The solution here is a deck with strong battlecry or “At the End/Beginning of the Turn” effects. A Gruul can disarm the wolf already on turn 4 or 5.
Finally, the fight against the Evil Witch is next. Her hero ability deals 100 damage for 0 mana, which leads to an immediate defeat – but only if Dorothy has already died. Dorothy is a 0/10 minion that starts on your side and (aside from deactivating the opponent’s hero ability) has another cool effect. All minions to her left gain “Charge”, while all minions to her right gain “Taunt”. Thus, it is easy to keep Dorothy alive long enough to send the Evil Witch to the afterlife and collect the Theater reward.
Afterwards, there are the two class challenges for Warlock and Paladin, where two additional cards can also be earned.
